Your Own Wilderness

Gilboa, New York

Great site - 27 acres next to 200+ public property. Camp in the field, views, within 50ish feet of stream. Drive right up.

Every time I visit, which I did for these pictures, I just enjoy the great outdoors. Beautiful campsite, about 30 feet from a cool running stream. There are rock walls, a small stream with 2 or 3 foot deep swimming holes, a larger stream, a bridge over the stream that leads to logging road to hike, The road is a large circle so you just follow it around and it takes you back to the bridge. To the east is 200+ acres so you can hike there also. Lots of wildlife. Added fire pit but please be safe with it - put the fire out if you leave or go to sleep. Plenty of wood around the area. All you hear is the water running in the stream. I've seen fish in the lower stream. Driving there - go approx 400 ft on grass road, then left. You will see the CAMP sign.
