Step inside The Farm Cottage for a Northwest Pendelton decor. Look out over the hay field, the orchard, and chicken yard into the Coast Range hills.

At Leaping Lamb, grazing pastures line the slot valley created by Honey Grove Creek amidst the tall conifers of Oregon's picturesque coastal rainforest. Turn down the private driveway, park, unload, and find yourself comfortably at ease in the original 1895 farm house or our newer 2005 cottage.

If you’re seeking a retreat from city life, a bit of country comfort, scenic hiking trails, gentle creekside paths, or room to roam and let your mind wander, you’ll find everything you need right here on the farm. Collect eggs from the chicken coop, hang out in the historic 1930s barn where you’re welcome to give the goats a treat, meet the lambs, build a hay fort, shoot hoops.

The kitchen is stocked with, fruits, bread, tea, coffee, waffle and pancake mix, juices, and more, all ready to be put to use. Throw on an apron and let your inner cook shine through with farm fresh eggs for breakfast and farm fresh produce in season for your other meals. Yes, we have a barbeque on the deck!

Beyond an appreciation for the land, you’ll hopefully learn a bit about our heritage here. Leaping Lamb Farm has had a long history in the Alsea area. The main house and several outbuildings were built by the Spencer family between 1896 and 1930 as part of the original homestead. While formerly known as Honey Grove Farm, the property has been a working farm since the fields were first cleared, growing hay, raspberries and blueberries, garlic, apples, pears, plums, grapes, and raising turkeys, cattle and sheep.

In addition to the flora, your neighbors on the farm include sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, a horse, donkey, peacock, and the requisite barn cats. Our business is focused primarily on selling our pasture-raised Katahdin/Dorper cross lamb directly to local customers. Depending on the time of year, most of these animals range freely around the property. That being said, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to introduce yourself
