Located in the glorious Sierra foothills between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe, it's a terrific launching pad for trips to California's Gold Country, the American River for rafting, Apple Hill, Old Town Sacramento and Red Hawk Casino. Visit the area's fine wineries or plentiful apple orchards with handmade crafts, pies and pastries. Relax in KOA's refreshing pool (in-season) and hot tub, or take the free on-call shuttle to Red Hawk Casino for a delicious buffet. Sunday mornings in the summer, this KOA serves a fabulous breakfast. Join in movie nights with free popcorn (most Fridays/Saturdays). Enjoy the new arcade, giant tent with free Ping-Pong and foosball and hand-dipped ice cream. Stop by to pamper the adorable miniature goats.
