Rustic, light-filled, adobe retreat. Open floor plan main house with detached casita. Canyon and valley views, and only 25 minutes to the Sipapu Ski area, 40 min to Taos.

Nestled in the mouth of the canyon, the "Old Gem Lodge" is the cozy, secluded cornerstone of this enchanting 7-acre farmstead. The main building is an open floor plan with picture window views of Trampas Canyon and private access to creekside hiking.

There is a wood-burning stove in addition to thermostat controlled propane heat. There is a full-size futon in the living area and partitioned area with a king bed. The spacious full bath is in the main house with laundry. Separate casita with queen size bed is just a few steps out the backdoor.

As our access road can be rough, a vehicle with a four-wheel drive is required for winter access.

We are generally flexible when it comes to changes-please let us know if your party size increases so we can accommodate you better. We make special arrangements for pets and need to know if you plan to bring them in advance to ensure the safety of your pets and our farm animals. Any unannounced guests or pets will be charged an additional fee.

Our property can be difficult to find at night and ask that you plan to arrive before nightfall if possible. We have added lighting & signage to the entrance. GPS will not take you to the correct location- please refer to our directions for details on getting here. Also, we are in Las Trampas proper- Not Chamisal and Not Las Trampas Road.

The half-mile dirt driveway may be icy, muddy, and or very bumpy-drive with caution. You may park at the RTD stop by Las Trampas plaza and walk-in if necessary-or arrange for us to pick you up-it is about a mile.
