Off Grid Glamping
Ridgeland, South Carolina
Life moves at a different pace when you're off-grid. It's quieter, more peaceful, and less hurried. That's certainly the case at Stonewood Farm, a glamping site located on an organic family farm in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Ridgeland is in the heart of "Lowcountry," a coastal region with an amazingly distinct natural environment. Here, there are endless opportunities for adventure on land and off.
When you arrive at Stonewood Farm, you'll likely be greeted by a menagerie of friendly goats, horses, chickens, dogs, and cats. They'll escort you to your 12-foot by 12-foot glamping tent that sits on a raised wooden platform protected by a roof. A spacious deck with comfortable chairs awaits you, complete with a grill for cooking and a set up for morning coffee. In true "glampsite" fashion, the shower and bathroom are outdoors. If that gives you pause, fear not — they're both kept very clean and the shower's plenty warm! Inside the tent, you'll find modern creature comforts: lanterns, heaters, snacks, and a television with a large movie selection.
Although we're all for a good movie night, we strongly encourage you to do some stargazing while you're here. It's incredible how many stars you can see out in the country away from any light pollution! Just outside your tent is a fire pit stocked with firewood and plenty of seating so you'll be cozy and plenty warm.
