Meadow Cottage
Fairfield, Vermont
The Meadow Cottage is perched on a picturesque knoll in the back of our 300-acre working dairy farm. We are located in between two of Vermont's best ski resorts, Jay Peak and Smuggler Notch.
Stony Pond Farm is a family-owned, certified organic farm specializing in naturally raised grass- grass-finished beef, milk, and cheese.
The Meadow Cottage is full of natural light with great views out every window. Inside there is a comfortable living space with a futon that pulls out for extra guests. The kitchen has a gas stove and a small fridge and is stocked with pots, pans and all the cooking utensils you need to make a delicious meal. The bathroom has a shower, a sink, and a composting toilet. There is a steep ladder/stairs that take you up to the sleeping loft, complete with a comfy queen size bed.
Guests have access to the whole cottage, the space around it and the pond. The pond is spring-fed and perfect for a summer swim. We've got a selection of floaties and noodles in the barn by the pond that guests are welcome to use. We also have a few fishing rods available for catching the bass in the pond. Everyone is welcome to explore the farm and take in the natural beauty of the Vermont maple trees or the plentiful wild apple trees that are sprinkled around the property. Not to mention our herd of Jersey cows, happily grazing in our lush green pastures. There is a fire circle near the pond.
