Hidden Hilltop Hideaway
Monticello, Kentucky
Forest campsite hideaway tucked in the wooded hills of beautiful southern Kentucky
Rest and recharge in total seclusion at this peaceful, private wooded campsite! There is a lot to see in the forest. You may see white tail deer, wild turkeys, owls, northern Cardinal and Blue Jays, and many other types of songbirds right from your tent. Enjoy exploring the full 32 acres, or stroll down our gravel road to see the remnants of old mines.
If you enjoy animals, feel free to take a short walk back to our homestead where you can enjoy watching our miniature zebu, quail, and free range chickens and ducks.
Campers can enjoy as much privacy as they like, or come up to the homestead for a guided tour. We want to keep our base rate low for more people to be able to enjoy our property. If you want the total glamping experience, just add extras!
If you decide to explore the area, nearby Lake Cumberland features many marinas and is a great destination for fishing, boating and swimming. A 15 minute drive will get you to Monticello, or Somerset is 40 minutes away, to check out the shops, flea markets and farmer's markets! For history buffs, Mill Springs is only 20 minutes away, where you can tour the old Civil War battlefield and learn about its importance as a victory for the Union forces.
This campsite is equipped with solar lights and battery-powered lanterns, firewood, a cooler (ice is provided for additional fee), toilet paper, and garbage bags for your convenience! Please check out our extras for any other camping supplies you may need. We can't wait for you to visit!
