Happy Tales Campsite is located on the grounds of an incredible animal sanctuary nestled in the foothills of the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains! We rescue and house any animals who have been abandoned, abused, or unable to survive in the wild - from a porcupine to chinchillas, from foxes to pigs, from horses to...even a lynx!

Enjoy the pastoral beauty of rural North Carolina and take in the majestic nature views from the platform of your canvas tent. The campsite is less than a half hour drive from the Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area, which has tons of options for outdoor adventure and activities such as horseback riding, zip lining, golfing, antiquing - you name it! The incredible city of Asheville, with its amazing breweries, coffee shops and culture is also less than an hour away. Come enjoy this serene nature getaway!
