Jim Christopher and Cathy Carpino have been married since 1992. We have a blended family of four grown daughters all of whom have left the nest. We also have two granddaughters. Jim is an active interior designer and is interested in antiques and collectibles, gardening and all things house related. Cathy is a working educator as well as a talented singer and performer who has worked extensively in Manhattan cabarets, as well as theater, film, and television. There’s a piano in the great room. If you play, she’ll sing!

We currently have three small dogs. Loretta was rescued from the local pound. She is energetic and barks at the arrival of all guests. She eliminates the need for a doorbell! Once she gets to know you she will be your best friend. Rita is a rescue from Puerto Rico. She is even-tempered and as sweet-natured as a dog can be. Her favorite spot is on the sofa and she loves all of the attention she can get. Muggins is the newest and oldest of the group. He is very energetic and happy to see new people.

We are a dog-friendly establishment so you may encounter a guest dog now and then, Our experience has been that dogs that travel with their owners are always will behave. If you are allergic to or don't like dogs Green Ares may not be the best choice for you.
