Cedar Mountain Farm
Athol, Idaho
We offer you and your family a comfy Bed and Breakfast nestled at the base of Cedar Mountain. Experience down-home hospitality on a 440-acre working family farm. We’re a Bed and Breakfast that feels just like going home to Grandma’s!
Granny's Woods looks out towards the west to the woods where we sometimes graze our cattle. The room features furniture from Daryl's grandparents, Henry and Teresa. They were antique buffs and loved beautiful, useful pieces. We believe that this furniture dates back to the 1880s. The Spring room faces the garden area and has views of Cedar Mountain.
The Forest Suite now headlines as our log bedroom. It is a favorite for parents who wish to have their children sleep in the same room with them. Al handcrafted the beds in this room. A small electric fire stove contributes to the ambiance in the wintertime. Our guests love to gather by the fire regardless of the weather. The view from the Forest Suite looks into the woods. This spot actually provides grazing for cattle at times and deer wander through regularly.
Way back in the 1940s in a field near the county road, right here on what we call Cedar Mountain Farm, the Old Red Barn was built. We salvaged the original barn wood from the Old Red Barn and they now grace the Red Barn Room. The floor reflects our sustainable nature, most of the tiles were from this original barn. Cedar, the companion room to Red Barn, boasts newer paneling. About a third of the way up Cedar Mountain lies a favorite family spot we call the picnic grounds. Al harvested a large Cedar tree from this picnic area that needed thinning out. He cut boards using a portable sawmill, ran them through the planer, and used them to finish this room!
