Bonne Terre Vacation Rentals: Studio
Breaux Bridge, Louisiana
We’re a tranquil space in the center of Louisiana’s vibrant culture and breathtaking natural environment. Our incredible cuisine, amazing local music, and one-of-a-kind attractions make our home a very special corner of the universe.
Bonne Terre — the good earth — is a 10-acre farm. We’re organic gardeners, naturalists, and music lovers. Our Cedar Studio makes for a lovely retreat for anyone looking for a place to rest, discover, create or just be. When you set your suitcase down at Bonne Terre, it feels like home – without the distractions. Here is a place to breathe; to slow down; to nourish your roots. Many nature lovers, artists, musicians, authors, and adventurous souls have come to pause here in their travels and gone away nourished in mind, body, and spirit.
At the Bonne Terre Studio (which was originally built as a musician's studio) guests have access to our large yard, with views of the pasture, larger garden, and woods. Our little parish road is a lovely place for morning walks.
There is so much to explore in Louisiana, our "Sportsman's Paradise"! While visiting here in Acadiana, also referred to as Cajun & Creole Country, be sure to visit Lake Martin and the Atchafalaya Basin which are close to our farm. The swamp tours are highly recommended! There are also local music jams, dances and live music at a Bayou Teche Brewery (about fifteen minutes away), so many places to experience our amazing cuisine, Avery Island, home of Tabasco Hot Sauce, Rip Van Winkle's Jefferson Island, the quant small towns of Breaux Bridge and Sunset, known for their antique shops and more.
