Watch out for mountain bikers if you leave the main foot path. Dogs must be kept on a leash on this trail.

We chose a hot day. Bring plenty of water as much of the trail is in the sun. Inspiration Point is certainly worth the trek and the short climb. Trails are not marked very well and terrain is rocky. We were on the trail that is supposedly shared with equestrians but I cannot imagine taking my horse out there without really good hoof protection, e.g., shoes and pads.

Trail was in pretty bad shape, likely due to recent heavy rains. Need gps to stay on the poorly marked trail. Many downed, dead trees blocking trail. Scenery is great. About 300ft elevation and good mix of sun and shade.

I'm sure many Edmondites aren't even aware of this trail. Nice trees and bird sounds. Shaded in many areas but some open areas as well. Add Hafer Park to get the full 3+ miles.
