This is one of the coolest places for kids to explore. I came here when I was super young and still remember how blown away I was and how much fun I had exploring the mazes of rock formations. If you want to get your kids stoked on camping and the outdoors, bring them to goblin valley.

This one is a go-to in the SLC area. Hit up the Cotton Bottom for garlic burgers just off the exit at 6200 S afterward! Super tasty and the vibe is casual and local. It's a bar so 21+ only.

A friend just did this a little while ago and said it is unbelievable...gotta see for myself!

this is one of the most incredible campsites i've spent the night at. the traverse around the lake is well worth it!

I've never camped here...just checked out the land sculpture but I bet waking up here is pretty epic.

i came here a bunch with my family as a kid and still go these days. it's a really nice spot, never gets old.

such a nice spot!

This is a fun area to climb around and explore. Beautiful views of Billings from the top.

it's been a long time since i visited but i remember the river sticking out as one of the most beautiful spots.

i've only hiked in this area but heard good things about the climbing. sharp rock is never fun but what doesn't kill you...

great trail all the time but he's got it right - go in the fall!

this is about as far out there as you can get in hawai'i. a long, tough hike that'll be a thigh burner with all the descents and ascents into the valleys and out along the way. well wortth it. i'd advise staying more than one night to enjoy it fully and let your legs recover for the return trip.

this place is pretty amazing. be respectful of permanent residents but check out their taro farming setup. also keep an eye out for wild horses - they're very docile and safe. if you're lucky, there will be a car heading up the road on the way out - stick your thumb out or plan on a long uphill trek.

do this. you won't regret it.

bring something to offer someone for a ride back! people with 4x4 cars can make it all the way. it's not a terribly long hike, but it is HOT.

If you need a relaxing afternoon, cruise up big mountain pass...especially in the fall! If you want to be active...there are tons of trails too.

you'll catch some of the best views of desolation from the peaks and the entire hike is beautiful along the way.

there are good spots to sit out for a picnic or just chillin - especially if it's a sunny day.

such a great hike. in the summer when it isn't so wet/slippery, you can hike behind the falls...makes for some great photos.

great spot for a day trip from Hood River. check for fly fishing conditions, i've been here when fish are rising all over the lake.

this is a fun hike year round, but in the fall the leaves will be beautiful.

If you need a good warm up or only have time to pop into Arches NP, this is a good option. Amazing views!

this spot has one of the best views of SF you can get.

Kiva is where it's at. Even on super busy days, the beach is so big there is plenty of room to chill. It's also dog friendly, there are fun trails to explore, and the backdrop of the mountains is pretty epic.
