Explore Emerald Bay

The views from both the land AND the water are absolutely incredible. This is an amazing spot to take in the sunrise or see the starlit lake at night.
The View at Emerald Bay is not to be missed. This is an amazing place to catch a sunrise over the lake or to see the east side of the lake lit at night. During the day, you should take the quick hike down the trail to enjoy the beach to rent a kayak and explore the dark blue water.
The perspective you get from in the water is also breathtaking. When you head down to the beach, consider renting a kayak or SUP if you have the time. This will allow you to paddle further out in the bay and really enjoy the experience.
You can also get great shots of the inlet and Fannette Island from the parking area. Or if you time it right, catch the Milky Way.

This place was a must see when I was planning my first Lake Tahoe trip. I've hike all around it and love the different colors and shades of blue in the water. It's also a great place to SUP, especially in the early mornings. You can rent kayaks and SUP from right inside Emerald Bay.

Finally Ha
Finally had The opportunity to explore Vikingsholm trail located in Emerald Bay. Went out early this morning arrived around 10 AM kayak rentals were four, luckily only had to wait about an hour for two double kayaks. Rental fee was $55 for two hours for double kayakers. Paddled our way to the island with the view. When you arrive to the T house on the island walls and windows are visible and when you take a photo of the window it looks like you're staring at a painting of beautiful emerald Bay. Worth the trip bring swimsuit! Beach located there waters are calm for the most part.

Beautiful Bay
A great place to stop and take photos. The island in the middle of the bay is gorgeous.
