Description

LoveLock cave is located in the Nevada backcountry. It is a Native American Archaeological site with fantastic views and a truly unique backcountry experience.

Lovelock cave is located deep in Nevada backcountry, however this adventure is quite easily accessible by car. After leaving the town of lovelock, expect to drive approximately 30 minutes on unsurfaced dirt roads to reach the entrance to the cave. Once you have arrived it is quite easy to find. Facilities are well marked and the entrance to the cave is visible from the road. Explore the cave but be careful not to leave the platforms provided for visitors. While the cave has not been occupied for many years, with proper lighting you can view remnants of fires and dwellings within the cave. Here is a google maps route from the town of lovelock to the cave entrance

Because this adventure requires 30 minutes off off-road driving please ensure you have proper supplies in event of car trouble. During winter conditions road may not be passable--use best judgment.
