By: Kristi Teplitz + Save to a List

As sweater weather arrives, we start to also pull out our mid-weight jackets. Here are 6 women's jackets some of our testers are crushing on right now that fit our active lives.

Mountain Hardwear Ghost Shadow Hooded Jacket

Thin, warm, wind resistant and super cozy, the Ghost Shadow quickly became a go-to we continue to pull from our closets daily. Choose the Icelandic color for those of you who loving jewel tones.

Outdoor Research Refuge Air Hooded Jacket

New to the Outdoor Research line up this year, the Refuge Air quickly became a staple in our wardrobes. Part Patagonia R1 and part wind layer. If you're active outside, this jacket will be your best friend. It is super soft and cozy on the inside so you can easily wear it with a tank top underneath without worrying about the jacket sticking to you as you start to warm up.

Black Diamond First Light Hybrid Hoodie

This is an incredibly breathable and versatile layer. Great for fall and spring ski tours, hikes, and even early morning summer days on the lake, the First Light Hybrid Hoodie is stretchy where you need it to be, and warm and insulated with strategically placed PrimaLoft and blended merino wool. And bonus - it looks great on!

Icebreaker MerinoLoft Helix Long Sleeve Zip Hoodie

If you're more of an Icebreaker fan, check out the MerinoLoft Helix Hoodie. Similar style as the BD First Light, the Helix Hoodie is an awesome layer for active pursuits. Wearing it running on a super cold morning, hiking, backcountry skiing, or around town. It's comfortable, cozy, and provides the right amount of warmth when you need it.

Topo Designs Puffer Hoodie

Put your plastic bottles to use. The Puffer Hoodie is filled with PrimaLoft Black Eco filling which is made from recycled plastic bottles. Soft, light, and incredibly compressible, the classic style of this jacket is perfect for travel and is a favorite with our testers.

Patagonia Nano-Air Hoody

Designed to move with you, keep you warm, but also breath and keep you dry when you heat up, the Nano-Air Hoody is a staple you won't be sorry you purchased.
