I love this place! Its not overly crowded like most hiking spots. You get in a great workout and experience a beautiful scenery on your way up. Although the parking lot is super tiny, you can park alongside the road and you'll be just fine. Bring water and a flashlight if you start your hike late. The giant redwoods tower over, making it look darker than it really is.

Great hike. I totally recommend starting as early as possible. Check the time when the sun rises and give yourself about two hours to hike.. It's three miles uphill and you might need to take a few water breaks. Bring a few flashlights and plenty of water. Then once you get to the top sit down on a rock and enjoy the beautiful view. Not only will you catch a great view but you will beat the crowd and the heat of the sun!
