We drove this on a rainy and foggy Sunday morning in September. The fall colors were amazing, and we even had a moose cross the road in front of us as we got closer to Estes. Look out for a rather humorous sign on the road. You’ll know it when you see it 😅

This an awesome place to cliff jump, even if you're a beginner. I had never jumped off a cliff before but felt safe since the water was deep. I did see one person slip off the cliff right next to the waterfall, but they were ok. The water here is FREEZING, even in August, so don't plan to come here to swim leisurely because you'll want to get out of the water as soon as you get in. The hike was easy but make sure you have shoes with good traction because there are lots of loose rocks to climb down.

The hike is easy, took less than 25 minutes to get to the top. And the views of the city are beautiful!

The drive to this point was crazy. I would recommend adding the extra mileage to your hike and parking further down the mountain. The hike itself was pretty challenging with steep switchbacks, but the views at the top made it all worth it. Plan for about a 3 hour hike (2 hours up and 1 down).
