15 photos from my first time Ice Climbing in Ouray, Colorado

I took a deep breath and was lowered over the edge. In my mind all I kept thinking was "What did I get myself into".

This was my first season of ice climbing and some co-workers and I decided to make a trip to Ouray, Colorado to enjoy a weekend of ice climbing in the infamous Box Canyon.

Box Canyon is a well known hub for Ice Climbing and hold an annual Ice Climbing Festival where athletes and professional ice climbers can compete against each other. It is a non-profit free Ice Park open to the public and is located right in the heart of Ouray, Colorado.

Below are 15 photos from our epic ice climbing trip!

We were fortunate to stay at Box Canyon Lodge right on the edge of the Ice Park and was very convenient for quick easy access to the park!
