The arc itself is pretty impressive but it's surroundings with other boulders of massive size makes it a place worth visiting. It's easy enough to get to the arc, so it's worth walking around and exploring a lot more of the area! I just went for a day trip from LA and spent a few hours taking picks and walking around. Next time I'd love to come back and camp!

A great hike if you want to get a view of the city and the sea! You'll be able to spot downtown LA all the way to the Pacific Ocean. If you start from Los Liones, you can make the hike as long as you want. I made a 12 mile (in and out) trek out of it, and could've definitely made it longer.

Great hike with amazing views all the way up! As you hike up you'll have a great view of the red Rock formations on the opposite side. I think the tourists hike the actual formations on the other side, so this trail was not busy (I saw 4 other people on my way up/down). I went mid-Sept so it was still hot out! Bring water! I enjoy the heat so it was not an issue for me - I also wanted to come during the less busy times. Really enjoyed this trail and will be back!

I completed this trail in the middle of summer (July) and survived. I imagine it's much much better in winter, but I still thought it was amazing regardless of the heat! Lots of great views and Tom's Thumb at the top is a pretty cool site - makes the hike worth it! Cool cacti on the way up, great rock formations, and cool cliffs. I'll be back in the winter as well when I'm sure it's much better!
