Whistler Summer '18

Too much terrain to cover in one week; we'll be back.

By: Joel Blatt + Save to a List

Day 1: On Whistler, hiked Pika's to High Note for 8 mile journey, including "new" suspension bridge.  High Note Trail offers amazing views of Black Tusk, Cheakamus Lake and Overlord Glacier.  High Note Trail leads to Piccolo Ridge around Symphony Bowl and Harmony Ridge.

Day 2: Hiked Iceberg Lake, which has fairly epic finish.

Day 3: Mountain-biked Cheakamus (pronounced check-a-muss) with Stuart, while Tanya hiked same with Eiri.  Cheakamus is actually better-viewed from High Note Trail than curbside.

Day 4: On Blackcomb via Peak to Peak, hiked Overlord Trail to Decker Loop, which passes Fitzsimmons Valley, Blackcomb Lake, leading up ridge that overlooks grand Overlord Glacier.

Day 5: Hiked Joffre Lakes, which is 1 hour drive north of village, but worth all the effort.
