Our Front of House Supervisor works closely with all team members to ensure smooth operations of Legends Bar & Grill. This individual is a key member that holds all of the other pieces in place. Potential candidates will possess the utmost integrity, an excellent work ethic, a positive attitude and a willingness to assist in all areas. The FOH supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant; ensuring that operations run smoothly, guest satisfaction is high, food costs are monitored/ controlled and employee relations are high. We offer a fun, fast-paced environment with room for growth and advancement.
•Possess Utah Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire
•Possess Utah TIPS card within 14 days of hire
•High School diploma or equivalent
•Basic computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as strong understanding of our POS system once trained
•Must be available to work weekends, nights and holidays
•Possess strong money handling skills
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
•Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and have a passion for teaching others
•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
•Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)
•Must be 21 years or older
Preferred candidate will:
•Have at least two years of Food & Beverage experience
•Possess prior supervisory or managerial experience
•Possess knowledge of food/liquor cost and maintaining controls and accountabilities
•Assist in training new FOH employees, and maintaining/updating/expanding the training manual.
•Relay positive feedback regarding employees’ performance as well as concerns/issues to management
•Effectively communicate all FOH policy and operating matters to staff. Recommend policy changes. Assure compliance with labor laws and company policy.
•Assure that opening, shift change and closing checklists are completed.
•Assign server sections, hold pre-shift server meetings and assure that specials for the day are understood and dinner special menus prepared.
•Be prepared to back up all positions during peak times.
•Maintain open communication with all staff in FOH and BOH
•Analyze labor needs as shift progresses and promptly send excess service staff home.
•Report maintenance issues to management immediately
•Conduct a regular FOH inventory of supplies and relay needs to management in a timely manner
•Maintain a secure, clean, organized, and prepared restaurant.
•Ensure Daily Sales Report, journal notations, shift reports, server cash drop procedure is being followed.
•Demonstrate time management and organizational skills.
•High standards for attendance and appearance. Presenting a professional demeanor at all times.
