Associate Designer - Special Make Ups
Stratham Station, New Hampshire
Design fresh and relevant footwear styles for key accounts, consumers and regions on Timberland’s Special Make Up (SMU) team.
Design and create footwear concepts on classic styles and existing inline collections through color and material application.
Research, gather and present fashion / trend inspiration to support concepts created that are relevant to key accounts, target consumers and specific global regions.
Create and apply new print and graphic solutions to footwear concepts.
Present project concepts, trends and inspirational stories in internal reviews and to key accounts.
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) to visualize and present accurate artwork and photo realistic concepts. Provide and communicate detailed tech information for each project solution.
Collaborate with Design, Product Management, and Footwear Development teams to execute project direction, product process, cost targets and deliverables.
Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects using time management skills and organization to keep work on track to meet delivery date requirements.
- 1-3 year related experience.
Bachelor's degree in Design, Art or a related field or Associates of Art degree from an accredited art school with experience in a design environment.
Proficient with Illustrator and Photoshop preferably in Mac environment. Other basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Products.
Experience with Leather, Textiles, Graphic, Color, Footwear or Apparel.
Strong communication skills, and ability to communicate concepts with digital renderings. Ability to contribute and generate ideas with Designers.
Ability to respond quickly to multiple projects with strong time management skills. Strong ability to set priorities and manage deadlines.
Highly organized, with a critical eye for detail.
Ability to work and build relationships with cross-functional teams.
