Sales Manager – Key Account Channel

The Smartwool Key Accounts Sales Manager supports all aspects of the Smartwool Key Account Channel.  This individual will be responsible for the development of customer Key Account plans around sales, marketing, assortments, promotions, visual merchandising, and event tie in. Establish control-related standards and processes.


1. Build 1, 3, and 5-year comprehensive sales and marketing plans for Key accounts

2. Drive sales and analysis of Smartwool Key Accounts Channel business

3. Product group analysis account base to identify product needs to grow and expand product categories within this account base assortment planning with Key Accounts Channel.

4. Provide clear, consistent communications to sales agency team resulting in sales growth

5.Develop seasonal sales programs; evaulate ROI

6. Identify in-season selling opportunities; bottom up business planning for Key Accounts

7. Provide communications of product group analysis to Product Development Team

8. Manage Key Account Channel budget

9. Provide significant focus on key seasonal buying group and regional tradeshows; providing sales feedback and guidance on product development. Develop distribution and segmentation strategies. Develop field service activities with sales agencies

10. Work with dealers to expand the total Smartwool assortment. Attend key tradeshows and customer meetings with reps/sales to stay current with their business and attend to any specific marketing needs. LRP planning with GTM team


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of general business experience required (sales preferred)

  • Ability to strategically think and implement strategy and execute upon it with sales reps and peers.

  • Key Account exposure with emphasis on business planning

  • Demonstrated results in executing multiple projects and integrated plans on a seasonal basis

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrated team and leadership skills

  • Highly proficient computer skills

  • Ability to travel 50%
