Field Service Representative (Mid-Atlantic Region)

The Smartwool Field Service Representative (FSR) creates brand awareness and provides technical education and training opportunities for the Smartwool brand within the specialty retail market. (Mid-Atlantic Region: Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York)

Major Responsibilities:

1. Create and drive brand awareness, excitement, and technical training opportunities and provide in-store visual merchandising and event support to our retail partners

2. Educate and excite retail associates on Smartwool brand and product offering through training and in-store events

3. Maintain up to date and comprehensive product knowledge and technical information for Smartwool and that of the competitive set

4. Work with retailer on the sales floor and stock product as needed

5. Provide national and regional tradeshow support including customer relations and line presentation

6. Drive sell through by identifying at once opportunities

7. Work in conjunction with Sales Reps and FSR Manager on seasonal account plans, territory focuses, promotional activities, and brand level initiatives Support local, regional, and national field marketing and brand events \

8. Work with FSR Manager and Sales Reps to create and manage a comprehensive and efficient travel calendar and travel swing planning tools and master territory account lists

9. Create and manage budgets necessary for clinic events, training tools, and other required expenses

10. Support in-store Visual Merchandising needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant field preferred

  • 2+ years business experience which may include retail, customer service, or marketing

  • Must have a passion for the outdoors and be an outdoor performance “user” in order to understand how the consumer thinks and how to best develop sell through strategies and training programs

  • Must have strong communication skills with proven success in delivering presentations to any number of individuals

  • Must be  creative and have high energy

  • Must be willing to work alongside the retail associates

  • Requires ability to manage work schedule in a position which calls for significant independence

  • Strong computer skills required

  • Based in North American-Mid-Atlantic region

  • Requires 80% travel throughout sales region
