Gem Lake is a great hike! Right now the trail is wet/muddy but no snow. It can get pretty crowded on the weekend as it's a popular hike to Snow Lake.

The forest service road was a little rough but the trail head was easy to find. Trail conditions were great, only few spots that had puddles and mud. It was a little cloudy but if it was clear, the views of Mt Rainier would have been breathtaking. This hike is perfect to take out of towners or if you want a quick hike.

The directions on this adventure were very helpful! I would love to come back and trail run this trail!
