Headed out on this hike with a toddler strapped to my bike thinking I was in for a four mile round trip. It's actually 8 miles and between the toddler on the back and the 2000+ elevation gain it's definitely a leg burner on the way up. But a beautiful hike that is well shaded for those wanting to stay out of the sun. The ending is a beautiful setting. Also for those wanting to go further it looks like an easy scramble up to the peaks above.
