The only reason this trail doesn't get 5 stars from me is that (if you're not using a GPS/app) it can be difficult to find your way back to the correct parking lot. It's beautiful, and if you're lucky enough to go shortly after rainfall, the pools are filled enough to take off your shoes and relax before finishing the loop.

Love this trail. They have done a fantastic job designing and keeping up this trail system. It's great to finally have something in the far West Valley like Skyline.

I just did this trip for a second time last week. The initial decent is fairly easy, and the longest part of the hike is flat. But if you backpack in, the last two miles of your hike back to the top are killer. One of the most rewarding things I have ever done. The landscape has changed a lot in the past few years, there are more falls and swimming areas than there used to be (due to flooding). The climb down to Mooney falls is exhilarating and so worth your effort!!

At first I thought this hike was really flat, and honestly a little boring for the single hike we were doing that day. About half way through, though, it started to get steeper and I found myself needing to grab onto some of the rocks around me to get to the next plateau. There was a little scrambling near the top, but once I got there it was all worth while. The view is amazing, and walking onto the bridge really makes you feel like you've accomplished something!
