I came out to this trail super early and definitely struggled to spot where it started amongst the neighborhood- looks like you’re headed for a driveway but it weaves between houses and drops down sharply, then cuts back up

This was well worth the entrance fee - I had clear weather in April and an almost deserted trail on a Tuesday. Watch for rattlesnakes in this area and bring plenty of water!

I made it to the trail head in a Honda Civic, but agreed that something with higher clearance/all wheel drive makes this easier! Great area and swimming hole

Hiked this trail early in the morning in April and had perfect weather conditions for the full hike. Love this trail.

Such a community hub. I love the variety of people you see walking up this hill, it's the perfect urban hike for all levels

I love going here in the spring, when the air is perfect in the evenings for a long walk! Many people drive up and park with books/cameras/friends at the summit

I spent 5 months living in Dublin and did this hike with every visitor that came to town! Beautiful, very easy, and a refreshing break from the city. It gives the perfect exposure to the beautiful UK cliff lines!

The view from Muley Point is unreal, especially at sunset, so don't miss that. If you're bringing tents, note that it often gets windy up here (which is a great break from the heat) but much of the ground is stone, so you'll need something other than stakes to weight down your tent.

I love this 14er, but it gets heavily trafficked. I suggest camping out nearby the night before, and starting the trail early (4:30/5:00 am) to catch sunrise as you ascend and beat the crowds!

I hiked out this bluff from the Swanage bay - parked on a country road and the path carried up from beside a farmhouse. This way was steep but short - no more than 3/4 mile. The bluff is very windswept with tall grass and an easy flat path out to view Old Harry Rocks

This trail was easy, and we completed the full hike (with breaks) in about 5 hours. The first section of trail has a great series of small footbridges across a stream. We didn't stop at the hummingbird sanctuary, but we did see several beautiful horses on the way down as we passed through the wax palm forest. There is apparently another trail that veers off in this section to a waterfall, but we found it too overgrown to follow

This was such a great weekend trip from the city. This loop is challenging, but like mentioned, very doable if you've been acclimated at altitude. I didn't have any trouble following the trail, and the scrambling through the rim section was challenging but I was able to complete it in a couple of hours round trip.

I absolutely loved the chance to hike this volcano! It is possible to reach this by public transportation, but it requires several bus changes. Ask around in Puebla for the best updated info. I would agree that the elevation and pitch of the hike, as well as several sections with loose dirt, make this a challenging ascent, but still very doable and a wonderful experience.

This site is slightly off the main tourist track and was such an affordable, easy space to visit. I climbed El Torre, which does give really beautiful views of the area, and the artwork mentioned is immaculate. I also loved seeing the Mayan Ball courts, which are so intact here.

This has always been a favorite hike of mine in the Durango - Silverton stretch. I love the wide vista to the south which is in view for the majority of the hike; you can see across Spud, Engineer, the Twilights, and other recognizable mountains. And the hike itself is very accessible, not too crowded, and can be modified shorter without losing the value of the hike. Because of that, I often take visitors to this trail.. but I would caution that some who are visiting from low elevations are strained by the elevation of this hike.
