Just a few notes on some red tape: A Cascade Volcano Pass is required for climbing the Mazama Glacier if you plan to descend via the South Climb Route or any part of the mountain managed by the US Forest Service. And, legally, no one is allowed on the Yakama Reservation outside of "Tract D" (Bird Creek Meadows area and Sunrise Camp Area) without permission from the Tribe. Just a heads up for folks adventuring in the area.
