The area I have grown up in and am thankful to call home today, Lycoming County, PA has been one of my favorite subjects. From a simple hobby to what has become a passion, photography is a part of my life.

Beautiful

This was the first place my parents took me, as a kid that I remember, involving the outdoors. Can't wait to take my kids this summer.

great for everyone

The this a great trail to just get out and enjoy the woods and to introduce littler ones to hiking. Winter is an awesome time to go.

Great Hike

I've done this trail a few times over the years, but I like to climb to the Raven's Horn is at the end. This trail is a must for anyone hiking in the pine creek area. f you don't have time for the whole thing the hike to the lookout is well worth it.

great falls

Such a cool place to hike, with my camera and tripod I could spend days there! Thankfully I don't live far so I'll be headed back with much more time and will alternate the way I go around the loop. My only regret is that it took me so long to make my first visit. I would love to visit in the winter, who wants to teach me to ice climb?

The Most Photographed for a Reason

It is Beautiful. I got here at 6am and was all alone for about 10 minutes. Well worth getting up and making the early morning drive from Calgary. Those 10 minutes alone gave me the best chance for an uninterrupted shot.

WOW

I got very lucky last year and was given the opportunity to go to Moraine Lake, it was a breathtaking experience. Because it is such a popular area you must get there early, by 11 it is crawling with people. I cannot wait to go back, if i am lucky. In the future I will most certainly try and stay at the lodge.

Avoid the Crowds

Once all the tour buses start to show up around Moraine Lake this is an excellent spot to escape to. If you are looking for a fairly easy hike from the parking lot with a very defined trail this is perfect. Something to be very aware of is that presence of grizzly bears. The trailhead is marked with a very large sign to inform hikers of the dangers of bears. If you do not hike with a party of at least 4 you can be fined by the park rangers. So make some friends at the trailhead and take a bear bell or bear spray with you for your own safety. The park rangers also lead hikes out to the lake, however, the groups they lead tend to be very large. Once you get out to the lake take your time to soak it all in. Climb around on the boulders and keep a look out for little creatures like chipmunks. The view is breathtaking and well worth the hike from Moraine Lake.
