Incredible view at the top, or even below the peak. The hike up from the 19E route is difficult, but the view is definitely worth it. Parking at the trailhead area is risky - I had my truck broken into, as well as two other cars. Police said it happens a lot.

Camp at Unaka Mountain Overlook

Seriously great view, however the overlook camping area is small and gets crowded easily. Also, the overlook area is unfortunately unkempt, covered in trash, and is a late night party spot for high school/college kids. Wouldn’t recommend camping, but a sunset visit is worth the drive up.
