These hot springs are right off the main road. The fact that its easy access contributes to it's ever diminishing experience overall. I've driven by numerous times to see 10-20 people scattered throughout the springs. People being there is not inherently bad (I like people). However, campers are progressively taking less care of the springs (e.g. some garbage around) as their popularity rises. I was there at 6am one Saturday and it wasn't busy. A good soak too.

I took my parents on this hike and we circled the lake. It was perfect for them and they couldn't stop taking pictures. It's a little taste of Idaho's beauty but doesn't require as much physical exertion. P.S. I love the night pics!

I've spoken with the Ridge to Rivers management team and they all agree this is the best trail in the foothills. Good series of ups and downs and the views are great all around. Nice shots!

A great hike for anyone looking to get to see what Idaho/Sawtooths have to offer. However, crowds are possible.
