Fish & Kayak Big Pine Key

Merritt Island, Florida

Description

Added by Grace Brookshire

Big Pine Key is perhaps the best Key for clear water fishing and prime sunsets!

The Florida Keys. We sailed there from Norfolk, Virginia (more on that story - www.asweseek.com ) but no matter the method for arriving, it's a worthy place to stop. Specifically, Big Pine Key where the fishermen (& woman) find paradise. Big Pine Key campground is a worthy destination and kayaking/ fishing the clear water is the perfect way to pass the day.

The best catch in the area? Mangrove Snapper (at least in our opinion)

For our favorite details of this little island, check out this blog post - http://www.asweseek.com/jandg/... Or better yet, get in the car, plane, train or sailboat & check it out for yourself.
