Float Down Ichetucknee Springs

Ichetucknee Springs State Park - Search Nearby - Added by Kristian Champagne

Cool off from the summer heat in 72 degrees of pure bliss down a Florida spring river.

Ichetucknee Springs is one of Florida's most beautiful springs and a winding river.

The south entrance is where you float down the river. The entrance fee is $5 for a car of 4. After you enter and park you have to pay for a day tram ticket at the gift shop. $5 a person. The tram will take you to the beginning and pick you back up at the the tram stop. The exit for the tram pick up is clearly marked by buoys. If you don't want to pay for the tram there is a nature walk that follows alongside the tram road. There are several places to rent floats on the highway leading to the park. You can either rent a float or bring your own.

The north entrance is where the Ichetucknee Spring head and the blue hole is located. You can swim and snorkel in the springs. There is the option to float down the river starting from the north entrance but the trams do not run up to the north entrance. You will have to organize your own transportation back.
