I went hiking at Huntsville state park and had a great time! There are benches about every .5 mile and the trails are well kept. There was a $5 entrance fee per person to get in for the day. I will be back to go camping!

I’ve camped here three times and it’s very convenient from Texas A&M University. Beautiful lake, sunset, and starts. Not many trees on the lakefront but there is a forested area within walking distance. You must bring your own wood, there isn’t much to collect. Overall, very convenient but it’s expensive! You have to pay for 2 nights which comes out to $20 per car.

I came to lake Summerville for a 10 person camping trip and we had a great time! The bathrooms were a lot better than most camping places. We stayed in tents along the lake. The places we could choose to camp in were very wide open with fields that were perfect for playing games like soccer and frisbee. It wasn’t forested in the tent parts, however there were Forrest’s on the boundaries.
