Michigander beginner hiker looking for adventure, and ready to work for it.

I have so much respect for anyone who completes the Pemi Loop. The endless rocky terrain and constantly shifting elevations are hard on every part of your body but the views are unreal. I took 4 days to complete the trail because I had to travel so far to reach the trailhead and I wanted to enjoy it and I was really happy I took the extra time. I loved meeting the AT thru-hikers and getting the experiences I did. I highly recommend this trail just take it at your own pace, enjoy the incredible views and scenery and for the love of god bring trekking poles.

My group started at Naval Run (we got a travel map from the guide I would highly recommend that). We had a wonderful time going from view to view. It was a tough climb, especially for us beginners, but there are views for every type of climber and they are very worthwhile. We had a great time.
