Elk Creek Falls

Elk Creek Falls, Idaho

Elk Creek Falls🌲

Through the snow, mud, water, and trees we made it to the beautiful Elk Creek Falls. There was so much snow on the road we had to park a mile or so away from the trailhead and treck through the slush before reaching our starting point. Due to the heavy winds and rain there were a few unexpected ponds that were glowing blue. However, that also meant that there were several "tree obstacles" that we had to climb over/under throughout the trail. All in all a fairly moderate hike that is completely worth your time. The upper falls is the smallest and would recommend making the extra 1/2 mile hike to during the summer days to take a swim in, but for winter and spring seasons, make it a priority to see the middle and lower falls if you want to knock your socks off!! May adventure await you 🌿🌎
