My partner and I love to travel, whether it be car camping pitching a tent or staying in our little fixer-upper camper.

There is a good view of the falls before the final descent, made even better by diverting right for another 100 metres down a spur trail to the top of a series of bluffs

This is a very advanced alpine climb and should only be attempted by those with previous climbing and alpine experience. Notches are bolted on either end. Bivy site by the tarns is an ideal site for a bivouac. Crampons may not be needed from July onwards. Please consult external resources before attempting this hike.

A good, challenging summit. Steep and loose at times, but no real exposure and no route finding required. Just keep going up. I was 3.5 hours car to car and used the western (northern) of the two trailheads

Jones is BEAUTIFUL, I cannot recommend it enough. Don’t go on a Grad weekend is all I suggest! It’s bumpy but any car will make it. I don’t suggest leaving the car at the bottom. When you get to the first fork in the road going up the hill turn right and the second fork a right again :) enjoy the no service, bring a picnic and in the snow time prepare for a lot of it up there but they do clear it so you can make it a little ways in.

This large sandy beach is very popular for day use, especially for local dog walkers. Due to the seasonal flooding, there are no tables or defined campsites here and camping is no longer allowed due to the completion of the 27 designated sites. Walk onto beach sites from parking lot, approx. 5 Min walk

Easy, shaded and a few roots across here and there. 2 tent pads at the end which were full when we arrived. Lovely lake which took less than 15 mins to walk to

Absolutely stunning! I do recommend having a 4x4 to drive to the trail. I did it with a Toyota Yaris and had to drive very slowly. Do not go there with a low car! The trail is pretty easy, a bit wet in the beginning and steep at the end but totally worth it!!

Completed on a very hot day. No bear sightings but we did see a grouse hanging out part way through. There are a few shady spots for breaks closer to the top but do be prepared with sun screen and water. The view of the top is well worth it.

Nice easy loop for beginners. I have seen a few bears near the trail and have heard of people running into them, I suggest bear spray and to keep dogs on leash. Other than that, this is one of my favourites if I just need to get out of town for a few hours

Trail is fairly unmarked, especially with snow cover. Keep an eye on your route. Good trail to do when there is snow cover with a very early start in the morning (snow is firmer). Bring an ice axe for self arresting and steering when you slide on your butt to descend downhill. There was still decent snow as of the July Canada Day long weekend, but with the higher temperatures, it isn't going to last and it is going to make for a very wet and slidey trail. No crampons were needed. Go to the Climber's Right for ascending the Pink Slab. Highly advised to have a rope for the decent of the Pink Slab. 30m is enough for it. We had mountaineering harnesses and rappelled with a munter hitch. We did see one girl very frozen and needing a lot of coaching on the down climb.

Considerable snow on the upper half of the trail, very easy to end up post holed. Trail is hard to follow in spots, all trails pro GPS positioning was invaluable. Amazing views at the big Bluffs about 1/4 km from the end of the trail.

There is a 600-meter elevation gain and it’s mostly all straight up, making this hike a challenging one. Wear layers and be ready to peel them off as you warm up and the sweat starts to pour.

Nice easy walk in the woods. Interpretive signs along the way relating to the forest around. Good for families. Some stretches of exposed trees roots on some parts of the trail might make it difficult for bicycles. Trail is in a state park, so it is in a fee area

The Mayne island resort is a lovely and enticing place to stay on the water on Mayne island, great place to go for a paddle via kayak or canoe. It is clean, comfortable and welcoming. We would recommend it to anybody looking for a place to stay on main island. The views are fantastic, the rooms are great and the staff were welcoming

Not a hike, just a simple walk but lovely mossy floor and trees and great intro for small kids into what a beautiful forest there is at Golden Ears. You could easily take a stroller or wheel chair along the trail and is great for small dogs who wouldn’t be able to manage the rocks and tree roots of regular trails.

A beautiful park for a walk or to take the kids to play! Several kilometers of trails, playground (wheelchair accessible) and various picnic shelters. One of the most beautiful sights in the park is the Sierra Redwoods. The park is about 113 acres in size and features a very diverse and mature forest. A beautiful walk, stroll for a couple or family.

Play in the ocean which offers plenty of recreation from kayaking and canoeing to scubadiving to dolphin, seal, and other marine life sightings, or explore the shore where you'll find plenty of sea treasures from shells to crabs to colourful sea glass

A bit steep at the end of the trail but overall was a very great experience. Good views, nice waterfalls and beautiful ice cold lake. The starting point of the map is wrong. Going down from the parking lot (do not cross the bridge), turn left and at the end of the ramp you will find the trail head

I walked from the Christopherson steps and up the 1001 (there really aren’t that many steps). It’s a rocky beach with nice views. Watch out for the occasional nude sunbather.

I simply cannot express enough how much I adore Nectar Yoga. I have stayed 3 times so far, and can say that I will continue to go back again and again. The serene and calm property just gives off this soft and slow vibe that I find so entrancing. It is incredibly easy to slip in to a state of relaxation as soon as you step foot on the property. The addition of yoga and meditation to your stay is the best tools to unwind and connect with your body. And the breakfast that is offered daily just brings it all together. Delicious food is always offered, I have never been disappointed! Andrea and Sat are excellent and caring hosts, and their staff are all so lovely and helpful! Cannot wait for my next stay

There’s a lot of variety on this trail. There are some very slippery sections, its muddy. Definitely recommend a right shoes. A spikes or pole help specially at the portion where you go thru that steep snow, expect some traffic there. Some hikers just turned around. Bugs are very annoying. Over all, awesome view well worth it.

This hike isn't a very easy winter hike, and I'd only recommend it if you have proper backcountry winter gear. This is also doable with snowshoes, although there are some very steep sections. Very ski tourable. I'd also recommend avoiding the Christmas Gully route this time of year, it's very avalanche prone and isn't worth the risk in my opinion. We were informed an avalanche had recently occurred in the Gully. Lots of skiers go down this route as well and may not see you climbing up.

Although currently closed. Goat Mountain is a fun hike starting at the Grouse Mountain Resort. The trail is well-marked, with a few steep and challenging sections near the summit. The route takes you through forest filled with yellow cedar and hemlock before emerging to great views of Crown Mountain, Hanes Valley, Vancouver and much of the Fraser Valley all the way down to Mt. Baker.

Walking towards the dam, you can enjoy the beautiful and peaceful scenery of the reservoir embracing by snow mountains. When you walk through the dam, you can see the waterfall from the dam running to the pond, so spectacular
