Exceptional variety of rivers in this part of Montana and Missoula is a fun college town to headquarter in. I traveled with Karl for 10 days in the back country of Patagonia last year - he is knowledgeable, experienced, rock solid and fun to travel with.
Beautiful river and valley with deer, beaver, mountain sheep, herons. The guides are very experienced, safe, energetic and excellent teachers - for beginner to advanced fly fishing, geology, wildlife. Its just great being outdoors there - and there is plenty of fishing.
Plenty of space to learn and practice fly casting in a beautiful and easy access location. Plenty of club members to give suggestions or teach. Public facility. A great place to chill out while physically practicing a skill.. Can be Zen like.
