Popular hike in the non winter months. Call ranger station ahead on weekend as passes go fast. Fantastic hike up through trees with great views. Bring plenty of water as most all springs have dried up as of 2015-2016.

Great short hike that takes you straight up to views that looks down on the desert to the east and Salton sea. Looking west you see the the green of Mt Leguna area. Wind can be pretty extreme up at the top and the drop offs to the desert below can make you dizzy. Hike is exposed the whole way but crosses the PCT part way up.

The hike is along a unimproved road more or less to the top. Good for a burst of endurance hill run. However, there are crowds of people that hike from this side making much less desirable then it used to be. Parking can be dangerous as well along the busy 67.

Great little loop hike. For longer hikes you can take spur trails up to the top of the Mtn where the towers are. Others will take you to a network of trails across the area. Views from the top are great of Northern SD area. Watch out for Mtn bikers on the loop trail but otherwise it's a great little escape loop hike.

Hiking along the side trails near the creek is great. Main 'trail' is wide and easy to walk. Falls at the end are cool but can be busy with many people.
