Explore this scenic trail up a mountain that leads through forest, beside rock cliffs, and ends at a historic stone lookout tower.
Mountaintops said to resemble a Sleeping Giant give this beautiful park its name, and make it an iconic feature on the Connecticut skyline. The Tower Trail takes visitors up a mountain to an awesome stone lookout tower that offers scenic views of the Connecticut landscape.
As you arrive, park in the main entrance parking lot. The Tower Trail trailhead is a short walk ahead and to the right. Climb the mountain, marvel at the sheer rock cliffs, and take in the beauty of Connecticut along the way!
Note: portions of the trail can be icy in the winter
