Description

Diana's Pool features several attractions including a 35 foot cliff and 3 small collections of water perfect for fishing and swimming.

The drive to Diana's Pool is worth it in an of itself, taking you through the backroads of Eastern Connecticut. To begin the hike just simply enter the woodland path and follow the trail. In order to go under the bridge just simply take the first left in the path and there will be a stream that flows under the bridge and leads to a deeper pool. Directly adjacent to the bridge is a cliff that is about 30-35 feet high and depending on the depth of the water can be jumped off (highly recommended to check the depth prior to jumping). Back on the original path, if you continue to bear to the left you will get to the main pool which is a perfectly and oddly symmetrical surrounded by large rocks. Part of the pool is bordered by a sandy beach with 2 pre-made fire pits. If this scenery is not enough the trail goes deeper into the forest and trail ways parallel the entire stream and there are pockets of large boulders that can be climbed to cross the water and the landscape is overall very hilly.
