Outbound Tested: Solar Powered One Eleven Watch

A stylish solar-powered adventure watch that keeps you on time.

Running an event like Pursuit Series has a lot of moving parts. With over 300 different activities during the 3-day festival, it's crucial to keep everything running on time. That's where One Eleven watches come into play, and we put them to the test. Their watches are high-quality and solar powered that continually charge in both natural and artificial light, which is nice because some of the days were smokey due to all of the forest fires in California.

The watches are analog, meaning they have no digital displays, just classic hour, minute, and second hands. The beautiful thing about using an analog watch is that you can use the hour hand as a compass in case you get lost and need to figure out which direction is North to get your bearings.

One Eleven watches are for people who live for weekends, drawn to the beauty of the outdoors, and see it as an endless source of inspiration.  They chose the north arrow as their logo as it signifies direction, where you are, and where you want to be. The name comes from degrees of latitude, which are 111 kilometers apart from each other and provide a constant in our lives.

Sustainability is essential to One Eleven and by using solar to power their watches, there is no need to replace batteries which reduces toxic waste, and their packaging is non-bleached paperboard which is easy to recycle. The timepieces come in a variety of face and strap options from silicone to leather to sporty nylon velcro.

Check them out for yourself; you'll never have to worry about the battery running out or having to update software.
