Ski or Snowboard at Jasper National Park's massive and only Ski resort. It hosts magnificent views of the Canadian Rockies, as well as the valleys and lakes situated within the park and offers Skiing and Snowboarding for all levels.

Marmot Basin is approximately 22km South of Jasper (25 minutes), 385km Southwest of Edmonton (4 hours and 15 minutes), and 415km South of Grande Prairie (4 hours and 30 minutes). 

When Skiing or Snowboarding at this mountain, you will be rewarded with an amazing panoramic view of the National Park. All of which can also be viewed from Marmots two chalets. There is the Caribou Chalet located at the bottom of the hill, and the Paradise and Eagle Chalet located mid-mountain. There is also cell phone service throughout most of the mountain.

An average season typically occurs sometime around November to April. Marmot is open 8:00am to 5:00pm daily. There is also a bus that picks up at all of the hotels situated within the town of Jasper. It is $7 for a one way ticket, and $14 for a 'there and back' ticket. More info here Marmot Shuttle Bus.
