Awesome views from a kayak. Abundant seals and fish jumping out of the water. Fun outdoor activity with friends. Awesome sunset to enjoy with friends. Good exercise.

Only 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver, Deep Cove is a great place to paddle in tranquil ocean waters. You can rent ocean kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boards from Deep Cove Kayak.

The bay in front of the community is one of the few in Indian Arm that has both a sheltering shape and the shallow bottom required for overnight anchorage of pleasure vessels.

Kayak Deep Cove Reviews

We went a a few years back and rented a kayak right on the water then headed out. I would recommend spending a few hours out there - we only rented for an hour and had to turn back before we wanted to! We hugged the side of the cove to the left, taking a look some of the extremely nice houses that are along the water there, but further along you can work yourself into more forested areas. Afterwards, spend some time in Deep Cove while you're out there as well - they have some great spots for food (and desert - try out Honey's Doughnuts they're delicious!).

Definitely worth the drive to deep cove! It was beautiful and not too expensive to rent kayaks for a couple hours, and it's extremely peaceful. We even encountered some seals that tried to get on our kayaks!
