This is an amazing walk up to the top of Mount Royal, allowing a view of the city of Montreal below.

Starting at McGill University's campus, you will hike uphill, stopping at multiple lookouts along the way. There are multiple ways you can hike up to the top of the mountain: paved road, stairs or dirt foot paths. Biking up the paved roadway is also possible. Three quarters of the way up is a beautiful chalet with the most stunning view of Montreal, as well as amenities including washrooms and a gift shop.

Touch of nature in the city !

Being from Montreal I could say that this stop is unavoidable on a trip to Montreal. The panoramic view on the city is amazing, espacially at sunset and the hike to go there is quite easy. Could be really crowdy on sunny days and during the weekends, but its worth it. It is also a perfect spot for a picnic and a good way to start exploring Mount-Royal.

Best First Time

I'm a very lazy person and when I find out my school trip would be going up a mountain let just say I was not so happy. When I got to the top it was very refreshing and a nice run up. After that I been very athlete. A very good morning jog!
