From the parking lot at the base of Shannon Falls, follow the signage to view the waterfall before heading up the ascending Chief pathway. Shannon Falls is a beautiful cascading waterfall - amazing sights if you catch it in the spring when the water levels are very high due to melting snow!

The trail up the Chief is very well marked, and there are man-made features to help in more difficult sections of trail (e.g. ropes, stairs, ladders). There are 3 possible peaks to climb, and the turnoff to each peak is well marked on signs along the way. Beautiful views from the top, no matter which peak you hike!
