Description

Easy loop hike with multiple views of the expansive Cranberry Bog of Killarney Provincial Park
This hike begins from the interior of Killarney Provincial Park, so you'll need a park permit. It's easy to find the trailhead and the path itself is well marked. This hike should take about 2 hours, depending on your pace.
This trail goes around the Cranberry Bog through the surrounding forest. The trail is mostly forest floor with occasional spots of exposed rock shield. The rocks can be very slippery when wet, so be careful especially if it has rained recently.
There's multiple opportunities to see wildlife on this hike, such as porcupines, squirrels, bear, blandings turtles and chipmunk among others - so keep your eyes open. There are also numerous areas that you could stop and have a picnic lunch or hang a hammock for the day - so keep that in mind when you're packing your supplies!
