Looking for a place to explore year round? Point Lobos along the California coast is the perfect place. Once inside the state park, there are multiple turnouts where you can park your car and explore. You can choose to explore along the coast or in the forest, both are a good choice. The scenery at Point Lobos is beautiful, as the coastline is filled with rocks, causing huge crashing waves to spray the shore. If you're lucky, you might even encounter a whale or sea lion! There are plenty of sea lions sunbathing on the rocks or swimming down below if you look carefully. The trails along the coast are easy to walk and allow you to explore on the rocks as well to get a closer look at the waves and wildlife. There are benches, open fields perfect for picnics, and plenty of trails and places to explore to keep you busy for the whole day!
